Annabel Elton and Anna Bromwich will explore commissioning portraiture and fine art for home and workspace.  

With over 30 years of commissioning under their belts, Annabel and Anna will walk you through choosing, briefing and working with an artist throughout the commissioning process. They will show you how to navigate portfolios and understand commissioning contracts. Illustrated with a lively range of examples to inspire your own ideas, this talk is aimed at those wanting to work closer with artists on bespoke projects for their home.

Anna Bromwich

Annabel is responsible for the development and running of Mall Galleries' Fine Art Commissions Service . She has many decades of experience of working closely with the Royal Society of Portrait painters as she specialises in consulting for portraiture commissions. 

Annabel graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in History of Art, and from St Mary's University with an MA in Charity Management.

Anna joined Mall Galleries in 2015 as an art consultant and is responsible for sourcing and commissioning art for private and corporate clients. She curates and co-manages Mall Galleries' online gallery, Buy Art | Buy Now, and has curated exhibitions in-house and off-site, including the 2017 survey of Visitor's Choice winners from the Columbia Threadneedle Prize, By Popular Demand.  She forms part of the team behind FBA Futures, Mall Galleries' annual showcase of emerging figurative artists.

Anna has worked for a number of commercial galleries in London and Paris and has taught at the French architecture university ENSAPB. In 2017 she acted as a judge for Jackson's Open Painting Prize, the Emerge Awards and Collyer Bristow Gallery's Graduate Art Award Exceptional. She holds a degree in Art History from SOAS and a Masters in Musuems and Galleries in Education from UCL's Institute of Education.
