Partner & Conservation Architect
Sarah’s passion for history sparked her interest in architecture. She studied architecture at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, one of Pakistan’s most prestigious universities, graduating top of her year in 2003. A short course in conservation at undergraduate level led to a desire to work in the field but opportunities to practice conservation in Pakistan were scarce. It wasn’t until she moved to London and joined Roger Mears Architects in 2007 that she was able to do so, as well as gaining experience working on a range of traditional and listed buildings. Sarah is now a Partner at Roger Mears Architects; she is an RIBA accredited Conservation Architect (CA) and is the lead consultant for many Buildings at Risk as well as grant funded projects. She engages in community consultations during early phases of projects. Sarah’s is also a member of the RIBA Conservation Group (RIBA’s voice on conservation), as well as a SPAB Guardian.
