This trio of armorial Queen Anne Britannia silver castors were made in London in 1705 by Charles Adam and measure 8 inches tall by 3.25 inches in dia across the base for the large one and 6.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches in dia across the base for the smaller ones, they each have the original coat of arms to the fronts and well pierced and engraved tops with ball finials atop, they pull open from the first girdle where they are fully and clearly hallmarked to the bottom half and they are also marked to the lids with the makers mark and lions head erased – they are in very good condition and a rare find nowadays weighing 20.75 ounces or 646 grams.
