This rare George I silver and tortoiseshell box was made we believe C1720 and measures 3 inches by 2 3/8 inches and is 0.5 inches deep, it has a pull off lid with a stand away hinge and has the bust in silver to the lid of the French king Henry IV 1553-1610 and Marie-de-Medici (a lady who lead a very colourful life) there are a couple of ground out chips to the edge underneath but nothing distracting from this very rare box.
