Japanese bronze entertainer (ex-Lű Xiaguang Collection) holding a fan, his robe richly decorated with gilt cranes and floral details, on a lacquered wood base with foliate scrolls signed in a rectangular reserve Miyao saku 宮尾作, Meiji period 1868-1912.
Dimensions of figure without wood base: H 28cm (11" in.)
Provenance: this piece was in the Collection assembled over 40 years by the Chinese painter Mr. Lű Xiaguang (1906-1994).
