A stunning Daum vase decorated with peacock feathers. The design is very challenging to execute -most of the work on the bowl is standard acid-etching, but not the centers of the feathers. The light blue and dark blue glass is applied when the glass is molten, then pressed into the bowl on the marver. The process is called padding. Very difficult to execute and makes for a stunning piece. Signed in cameo Daum Nancy. French c 1905.
